A "Most Popular" badge can work, but only if the pricing logic is already clear. I usually test card size, order, border contrast, and one tight outcome line above the plan name.
This is anchoring, plain and simple. The page changes what feels reasonable. A higher plan can look justified when the comparison is framed well. On the other hand, if the high tier appears bloated, the badge just pushes more buyers into the middle.
I also watch enterprise handoff closely. If your top tier really needs sales, don't pretend it's self-serve. That creates friction and hurts trust.
Reduce plan count or rename tiers around the job
More choice looks smart in a deck. On a live page, it often slows people down.
Three tiers usually work better than four or five because the buyer can map themselves faster. Clear tier names tied to a use case beat vague labels like Growth, Scale, or Business. "For teams shipping weekly" says more than "Pro."
